LAW OF THE GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SALE PROGRAM
Below is the Girl Scout Law for Cookie Sale Program Participants:
I will do my best to be:
Honest when I start taking orders on the first day of the Cookie Sale Program and not before,
Fair by sharing Cookie Booth time with my troop sisters,
Friendly when I remember to say “please” and “thank you” to my customers,
Helpful when I can describe the different kinds of cookies,
Considerate and Caring to my Troop Leader and Cookie Manager for all the time and hard work they contribute to my Girl Scout experience
and to
Respect myself and others by being the best person I can be,
Respect authority by following rules, guidelines, and procedures,
Use resources wisely when I recycle my cookie cases,
Make the world a better place by using some of my troop’s Cookie proceeds for a service
project; and
Be a sister to every Girl Scout and remember that I enjoy Girl Scouts today because of all the women who came before me.
GIRL SAFETY – The Highest Priority
One of the most important considerations in planning any Girl Scout event is the safety of the girls. This is a year-round consideration of the highest priority. During the cookie sale girls are visiting neighbors, friends and family as part of the sale. They may be participating in booth sales and cross busy streets. The Troop Cookie Coordinator, Troop Leader and parent should always review safety before any activity. Safety-Wise is a publication prepared by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. that addresses girl safety throughout the year. Every troop should have a copy of this publication.
