TRIP & TRAVEL

Taking trips is exciting for girls. Opportunities to travel with girls abound in Girl Scouting...whether exploring the neighborhood, going on an overnight in a museum, participating in a community service project, going to camp as a group, preparing a girl for her first STUDIO 2B destinations, or flying to a world center.

"While on a September '06 trip to Niagara Falls, North Ridgeville Troop #577 visted a sister Girl Scout camp near Buffalo, NY. The NY Girl Scouts shared with us one of the most beautiful sites we had ever seen!!"  ~Cathy, Leader Troop #577

Girl Scout trips can happen when:

* Girls express interest in specific activities or places.

* Specific awards spark an interest in exploration and learning.

* The troop/group is brainstorming and setting goals for the year, including determining how many   cookies to sell.

* A service unit or council-wide event appeals to the girls.

* A teen Girl Scout visits your troop to tell about a destination that she participated in.

* Someone's relative works in a really interesting place that gives tours.

* A troop/group gets invited to do a service project in the community.
