Goodwill Good Turn Days

Goodwill Industries International is a network of 207 community-based, autonomous member organizations that serves people with workplace disadvantages and disabilities. Get involved with them through Good Turn Days. They provide bags which Girl Scouts fill with clothes and other items to donate to Goodwill.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. They build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with those who lack adequate shelter. Habitat for Humanity is always looking for volunteers to help stuff envelopes, prepare lunch and snacks for volunteers, builders, and more.

Lions Club

Volunteers collect used eyeglasses for donation to Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers that are located throughout the world. The used eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries.

One Warm Coat

One Warm Coat helps local organizations collect and distribute coats in their own community. Their goal is to provide any person with a warm coat, free of charge. Providing this simple, yet vital, need helps people live productive lives year round. Learn how you can create a collection event. Project Linus

Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization whose mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW, HOMEMADE, WASHABLE blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers. Volunteers make hand-made blankets and quilts that are distributed to children of all ages in need. Visit their website to see how you can get involved.
